What is Doodlebugz Art School, you ask?

Doodlebugz Art School is an adventurous new art program for students in the Pittsburgh region. Founded by local educators and entrepreneurs, Doodlebugz is on a mission to nurture and unleash the creativity in today's children. Through our innovative programs we hope to promote the importance of creative art education and, ultimately, foster a community that values the Arts. Our unique approach towards teaching art allows students ultimate creative freedom while providing an encouraging environment for students to develop their skills and learn to express their ideas through art.

Doodlebugz art classes promote important cognitive and character-building skills through the process of art-making, such as: problem-solving and abstract thinking skills, spatial understanding, experimentation, creativity, confidence, hand-eye coordination, communication skills and interpretive skills. Our lessons incorporate other areas of study with a strong focus on Science and Language, and also Mathematics, Music, and Writing.

Doodlebugz Art School programs are designed primarily as after-school programs, although we are an adaptable business that can provide services for any venue including boy/girl scout clubs, YMCAs, churches, shelters, assemblies and birthday parties.
